We are a caring intergenerational community that celebrates diversity and fosters spiritual growth through free thought and discussion with respect for personal beliefs. We seek the wisdom of many religious traditions and of ourselves, and we encourage the expression of personal ideals in service to people, other life and our planet. Individuals and families of all size, shapes and ages will find a loving supportive community with the simple goal of becoming our best self through inner reflection and outward action. Join us for a service designed to engage both the heart and mind in the spirit of community and inquiry.

 

Safe Harbor Family Church (Jackson, MS)

Safe Harbor Family Church, UCC is a Christian Church that began through the efforts of twelve persons, who met over a picnic lunch spread on a quilt in a local park in 1995. The first decision made was to form a church where all would be welcome, would share friendships, love, and spiritual growth, and learn about the grace and love of God.

Over the years, Safe Harbor Family Church has grown from this group of twelve, who met in each others homes, to a thriving fellowship of nearly 300 dedicated members meeting the needs of a much larger community.

Safe Harbor’s logo image is a lighthouse. In today’s intolerant and at times hostile environment, everyone needs a safe, accepting place. For many, Safe Harbor Family Church has become a place of safety, a sanctuary to weather life’s storms. Safe Harbor Family Church is a nurturing place with a welcoming family atmosphere for everyone.

 

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

St. Peter’s was organized in 1851, and since that time has provided a spiritual home and gathering place for generations of people who have found deep meaning and purpose in the life and witness of this faith community.  Now in our 167th year of organized mission and ministry, our congregation is healthy and vibrant, and we continue to grow – both in spirit and in numbers – as more and more people come to know this to be a place of genuine welcome and belonging.  We seek to share our lives and our stories in a deep and authentic community by gathering often for fellowship and Christian connection.

 

The Underground Church
The Underground Church is a progressive Christian community in Oxford, Mississippi. We are an affirming, multicultural, justice-oriented community. We meet once monthly for a message, music, and more. All are welcome here.
